Typical school day

08:30 - 09:00

The first children arrive and go straight to their classrooms.  Various parents come with their lessons plans and collect textbooks and other resources. There is a brief time to catch up with other's news in the breakfast room before they set off for their classes.

09:00 - 09:30

Each class has its own family style devotion. This may consist of a reading, a bible study, perhaps a few songs, a time of prayer for each other etc.

09:30 - 11:00

The younger pupils undertake "continuing studies" a diet of basic English and Mathematics. Mrs B's family has just joined the school and is starting her classroom experience by listening to children read. Secondary age children will study some part of their subject based curriculum. Today, maybe its Science or History.

11:00 - 11:30

It's break time. Children of all ages mix in the playground. Parents take turns to supervise the playground while others chat over a cup of coffee.

11:30 - 13:00

Now it's project time for the primary age pupils. The projects each last a term or more, are built on a biblical framework and underpin the subjects the children take when they are older, in preparation for their GCSEs.

13:00 - 14:00

The infants leave. The rest eat their packed lunches and play outside - weather permitting. Some parents go home (probably taking some marking with them) and others, who have the gifting for the afternoon activities, arrive.

14:00 - 15:00

The younger pupils engage in a practical activity but for the oldest classes there's more preparation for the GCSE. Then everyone goes home.
